These patients should seek the advice of a plastic surgeon to determine which course is right for them. There are multiple shapes and sizes of chin implants, and they can be custom carved when necessary to match patient's unique anatomy. Chin implants are usually placed for patients who have a weak and recessive chin profile in order to augment the chin forward. If there is excess fatty deposits in the neck, liposuction can accomplish removal of that ft to improve the jawline. Both procedures are complementary to each other.
