Is it too late after the procedure to start wearing my garment again to help see better results? I'm 3 months post op.

Hello Drs! I had a Vaser Lipo suction about three months ago. I still have some hard lumpy areas that concern me. I wore my compression garment for a month as instructed by my surgeon. He told me that wearing it any longer would not make much of a difference in my results so I stopped wearing it. Is this true? When will the lumpiness go away? Do you think it’s too late for me to start wearing a compression garment again to try to smooth things out?

garments will not help you at this time, but body treatments or a revision procedure may.If you are unhappy with your results please speak to your physician and ensure he was a full body VASER HD liposuction physciain wtih expensive experience in body shaping and not just traditional fat reduction.  At this point you should be using compression, RF treatments like venus legacy / exilis ultra / inmode forma or contoura and lymphatic massage to get you through healing.   We always add shock wave therapy such as cellutone, z wave, and eclipse evive to help prvent scar tissue formation and ensure an even and smooth result. It will take 6-12 months to see the final outcome.   If you are unhappy you can get a revision procedure by an expert in VASER HD lipo.  Best, Dr. Emer.

After 3 months wearing a compression garment will NOT add to improving results. If you have uneven ness than that was the experience or non experience of the surgeon or the potential that you had poor tissue. Best to seek in person second opinions from experts in liposuction revision. Sounds like you will need either revision lipo or a TT?

if you have lumps at three months you should consider your results permanent and that those lumps will most likely not change from here on. The compression garment has no impact upon your final results and it's three months will basically have no impact even in the short term  since your results are final.  I suggest you follow up with the Doctor Who did your procedure, hopefully a board-certified plastic surgeon and ask him or her what the recommendations are. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.

Great question!The main healing with Liposuction is over the first 2-3 months.You will be having improvements for up to a year after that, however.Firm areas mean it is still healing.
