Breast revision and facial feminization surgery. Surgeries 2 weeks apart - is this safe?

Hello, i am having breast revision surgery on Nov 12,2025 where a mesh will be inserted for additional lifting support. And then on Nov. 24th, 2025 just shy of 2 weeks, I am going to have facial feminization surgery (both surgery under general anesthesia. I am a healthy individual, and have never had any nausea, sore theoat, or other complications from anesthesia. My breast surgeon feels that this would be safe to do the breast first and then the face and feels more comfortable doing it before than doing the breast immediately after facial feminization. Im still a little uneasy about it being so close together. I’d like to hear from both a surgeon and an anesthesiologist is this relatively safe to do? Thanks

If you are generally healthy, this is a safe and acceptable approach. I agree that it is preferable to perform breast surgery first, before facial feminization surgery (FFS), because you want to avoid being re-intubated and having anesthesia providers apply pressure to your face after FFS.However, in my opinion, the best option&mdash;when medically appropriate&mdash;is to perform both procedures together. I occasionally perform gender-affirming breast augmentation and FFS during the same operative session so that my patients do not have to go through the recovery process twice.
