Is Splendor X or IPL better for reducing fine lines and eye wrinkles?
Answer: Recommend doing a fractional laser such as CO2 for fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) for Healing / Facial Rejuvenation -- add Stem Cells for Acne, Wrinkles, Cellulite, Scars, Sun Damage "In our practice we refer to PRP as ""liquid gold"" because it provides healing and rejuvenation and is a natural way to improve the appearance of your skin. Platelet-rich plasma is a high concentrate of protein derived from the blood; blood is drawn from the patient and placed in a tube that, once spun in a centrifuge, separates natural growth factors and stem cells from red blood cells. In addition to helping you maintain a fresh, youthful appearance, PRP can address localized conditions such as acne, wrinkles, cellulite, scars, and sun damage, and it's great when used in conjunction with lasers, radiofrequency devices, and microneedling treatments. The Vampire Facial uses PRP and stem cells to improve complexion, texture, and fine lines and wrinkles. When combined with lasers and radiofrequency treatments, it can also address scars, pores, and pigmentation. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer"
