How to fix my uneven smile/lips? (photos)

Is there any way to fix the unevenness of my lips? One side of my mouth slants down partially and seems to have low muscle definition. In addition, when I smile, it is mostly all gums. Is this something that can be fixed through surgery, or would injections like lip fillers be more apropos?

A downturned smile or permanent frown can be improved with a combination approach, including neuromodulators (such as Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau), injectable fillers, and radiofrequency skin tightening treatments such as Thermage or Venus Legacy. Every human being’s face is slightly asymmetrical, so slight unevenness in lips isn’t highly noticed by others. But uneven lips can be an infuriating cosmetic issue that also affects emotional well-being. 
There are several at home as well as surgical treatments available for uneven lips. The common treatments include facial exercises, lip augmentation, lip tattoos, and lip surgery. 
Some facial exercises are done to make your lips appear more balanced. Exercises like tightening your lips in a whistle position and holding that for 10 to 15 seconds. Smiling wide without showing teeth as if the corners of your mouth reach your ears and holding for 10 seconds; then smiling with slight teeth exposure and holding the position; finally, grinning and holding that position, then relaxing. This stretches your lips in all areas evenly. 
Lip augmentation is done using lip injections to plump or even out the lips. The most common filler used in dermatology is collagen, but as of now, it has been replaced by hyaluronic acid and polyacrylamide due to its long lasting results. Cosmetic tattoos have gained popularity in recent years and micropigmentation can be done to even out the uneven lips. The rare option is lip surgery which is performed for very severe cases. 
Hence, uneven lips are nothing to be embarrassed off. Minor unevenness can be treated at home whereas in very severe cases, surgery has been opted.
