Can silicone be removed from the face and buttocks?

Yes, to a certain extent it can be removed although it is a difficult process.  In the face it can be removed directly via excision.  When larger volumes are involved such as the butt then liposuction can reduce the silicone.

Hello, I am sorry you had silicone injected into your face, lips, and buttock and that now you are having problems. Also, I am sorry that the silicone has migrated. You must understand that silicone is a PERMANENT filler. Unfortunately, you have seen and lived with this silicone for 17 years. Furthermore, the silicone will NEVER go away without surgical intervention. Permanent fillers do NOT dissolve with steroids, hyaluronidase, antibiotics, or radio frequency (RF). Nothing will dissolve silicone. Since these areas are causing you problems, I would suggest surgical resection. You can have the silicone removed from the face, lips, and buttocks. Silcone injected into the face typically becomes surrounded by scar tissue which makes it extremely difficult to remove without directly excising the surrounding soft tissues. Good eveningSilicone removals can be the most most difficult thing a plastic surgeon can ever do, and it is the most dissatisfying of all correction procedures. I was faced with a situation of a lady injected with silicone in cheek region, and laughter lines. With no clear solution, i tried  VASER in the hope that the sound energy would break the silicone, and i was so surprised to see it actually did, and liquid silcone flowed down the track. almost 75 % silicone came out in 5 minutes or so. Now i cannot assure that this procedure will work in the lip segment, it might be too dangerous to do so, However it can be tried in the buttock regions.
