When permanent silicone induced granulomas pop up on the face does injecting it with steroid make the silicone spread or become worse ? Or will it just calm down the swelling and nothing further? Thanks

My office specializes in the management of silicone biopolymer removal. Granulomas can occur when the body responds to the silicone. It basically walls off the silicone particles. It is important to reverse the granulomas or remove the material. If you dissolve the scar tissue, the body will either create new scar tissue or the filler may migrate or stay put.

Option # 3 calm the area by anti inflammatory effect of the steriodal injections. Only method to help is excision of granuloma surgically with 5-FU injections. Then nano fat grafting with stem cells/PRP injections.
