Magnesium citrate safe before surgery?

I do recommend discussing this with your doctor, but in general I do not have a problem with magnesium citrate use prior to breast augmentation.  Good luck!

I would definitely recommend checking with your surgeon, and it is always a good idea to keep him or her in the loop, but I generally would not have an issue with a patient using Mag citrate prior to surgery.  Good luck!

First of all, the only accepted answer will come from your surgeon. My opinion I don't see any problem with it whatsoever.

Magnesium citrate is a laxative and generally not standard preoperatively unless instructed by doctor for a specific reason.  Please consult your surgeon for preoperative instructions and medications.  Best of luck. Dr. Michael Omidi

You should discuss this with your surgeon to confirm that they do not have a problem with it but I do not think it should be an issue.
