hi. I have nipples that only come out when cold but wish they would stay out. Can nipples be corrected with implants. Or could this be a bad idea??thanks for your professional opinions.

In someone like you who is contemplating breast implants, I would recommend having breast augmentation and seeing what the nipples do as there is a strong chance that breast augmentation alone will lead to adequate nipple eversion. If nipple inversion is still the case following breast implants, a nipple eversion procedure could then be planned under local anaesthetic.

Answer: Nipples It sounds like you have inverted nipples. Without pictures I can not be sure. You should make an appointment with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for correction. If you do have inverted nipples you would not need an implant for correction.

I've had patients who had inverted nipples, and after having a breast augmentation they had full or partial improvement of one or both of their inverted nipples. Usually it depends on the severity of the case as to what I recommend. Typically if you have reaction to temperature and/or touch there is a higher chance that the pressure from the implants will help push the nipples out.
