My surgical outcome was awesome. I couldn't be any happier. My care from my initial visit to my surgery date and during all my follow up visits was beyond pleasant. I felt very comfortable asking questions and never felt rushed out of the room/office. 32 Yrs Old, 2 Kids,Abdomen and Flank Lipo - Tinton Falls, NJ

I've researched lipo for quite some time finally decided to do it. I've gained some weight over the last 2 yrs after stopping birthday control. I work out but my stomach has been the hardest thing to tone. So I decided to get lipo of my abdomen and flanks. I'm already curvy I just wanted more definition to my shape Updated on 14 May 2015: Surgery went well, anesthesia was great I felt nothing it but once it wore off "Oh My" it was super painful felt like I did a thousand crunches. My abs seem tight. The pressure when standing up is painful. I'm walking very slow. Updated on 14 May 2015: Finally got to see what it looks like under my garment. And SHOWER! I feel much better now that I got my dressing removed and clean. I have dissolvable stitches so I won't see my doctor until 6/5/15 three weeks from now. And I have to wear my garment 24/7 For the next 6 weeks, taking it off only to shower 30 mins at the most Updated on 15 May 2015: I woke up at 2 am with lots of pain (scale 1-10 I'm a 8) in my back I already have back problems I guess the flanks were done a little bit more aggressively and that's were all my bloody drainage was in my back. Thank god for pain meds I popped a Vicodin and I feel 70%better the pain is subsiding. I hate that I feel so stiff when laying down for long periods of time. And the pressure once I stand up is the worst. But it's only day 2 post op and it could be worst. Make sure you drink lots of fluids and eating properly when taking your meds. I haven't felt/had any nausea at all. Updated on 15 May 2015: Does anybody else feel dizzy once the compression garment comes off? Oh my! I get light headed dizzy and shaky when I take off my garment to shower it's not a good feeling. I actually tightened my garment today after my shower incident... I feel much better when it's snug fit. I'm still Sooo swollen which is to be excepted my stomach is twice the size. Updated on 17 May 2015: I was feeling a little bummed yesterday second guessing my decision to have lipo....thinking I've made a huge mistake it didn't work I spent all this money for nothing. I'm so swollen I don't like my results what if it looks worst then what it did before. I should've did more research I should've choose a different doctor. All my feelings but I had to calm myself down its only 3/4 days post op I have to give it sometime. Thank god it's Back to work tomorrow so I won't have so much time on my hands to think about my procedure. Updated on 19 May 2015: I started back to work yesterday...it was rough! I was in Sooo much pain by the time I got home I was exhausted! Ima secretary at a school so from sitting up in a chair all day and going up and down in my seat it was a crazy day. Today was not so bad. I'm not as swollen as I once was, but I'm still SWOLLEN. I'm starting to get really hard areas. And from sitting all day I'm getting a dent in my stomach. When can I go back to the gym i feel like crap with no workouts I need to be doing something. I've been watching what I eat and taking my antibiotics (Tomorrow is the LAST day) but I just want to get moving, my brain tells me I'm good but once I start going my body is like hold up wait, I'm walking slow with a pregnant waddle lol it's terrible. Tomorrow ill be 1 week post op wish I was seeing some improvement but still looks bad to me. Updated on 22 May 2015: So last night I got scared about the hardness of my stomach and fluid I could feel moving. So first thing this morning I went to the doctor he assured me everything is fine swilling sore hardness and fluid are normal I'm only 9 days post op, I have lots more healing to do. I order a form board for my crease hopefully it will work. Ugh Updated on 23 May 2015: I got my abdominal board it's wonderful feels great! Mad I didn't get it sooner. Im starting to see some of my swelling go down I don't feel as swollen anymore. I'm moving around a lot better getting up out of bed is getting easier and when I stand that pressure feeling is starting to go away. All in all its getting better. I still have a lot more healing to do but I'm happy now that I'm getting my body back slowly. Started to wear a new garment today and I love the way it sucks me in tight! Updated on 9 Jun 2015: Haven't updated in a while... I'm feeling okay little to no pain. Still swollen. The incision on my back hurt. I've been using bio oil and palmers coco butter faithfully twice a day on my incision sites and my entire stomach, massaging it. I still have hard spots and it still feels like something is moving in my stomach. I'm going to get some mederma today to see how that works as well. I had gotten a little discouraged because my garment is too big now and I went to purchase another and that one was too big as well...I'm tired of spending money on garments but I feel nothing is tight enough and in a reasonable price range. I had my post op on June 6... Doctor said everything looks good swelling will countinue to go down and he wants to see me back in a month 7/2.

28 Y/o No Children Brachioplasty and Abdominal Liposuction - East Brunswick, NJ

I have had consultations with 4 or 5 different plastic surgeons in NJ and they all suggested Brachioplasty for my arms. I will be having Brachioplasty and flank/abdominal liposuction done December 10th with Dr. Tushar Patel. I felt comfortable with him and he came highly recommended by my bariatric surgeon. He was also a top doctor for 2014 I think. So... my highest weight was about 210 but I am 5'3". I had VSG one year ago and lost 55-60 pounds. My arms and abdomen have much loose skin, but there are still a few stubborn areas of fat that I want removed. They also recommended (not a TT) a skin only removal of the loose abdominal skin. I chose NOT to have skin only abdominoplasty. I just want a smoother stomach. If you notice in my pictures, above my belly button, it kind of protrudes more than the rest of my stomach. I just want him to smooth out that area and also to get rid of the love handles. He said I will have loose skin no matter what because of the weight loss, which I am fine with because I never expose my belly anyway. I just hope my stomach will get a better overall shape so I don't have muffin top in jeans or a visible roll with all the shirts I wear. I am very nervous, more about my arms though. Wish me luck! I will post again after my procedure. Updated on 11 Dec 2014: Liposuction on my abdomen/flanks hurts more than the brachioplasty. The abdomen pain is just a burning sensation. The arms I only have pain in the armpit. That pain is also a burning feeling, but it is bearable. I thought I would be in a lot more pain than I am. I just had my day 1 follow up and I can see that I am very swollen, but I see how much smaller my arms and belly look already. No regrets as of yet. I'm very happy I chose Dr. Tushar Patel. He is very kind and informative. Updated on 13 Dec 2014: Hard to move around today. Had to sleep on my back again which I really hate. I'm so sore. My arms really don't hurt as much as my belly, but they do burn and feel swollen. My belly burns pretty bad. I have some huge hips and major bruising right...so swollen. I hope that is normal. I have not removed the abdominal binder or arm sleeves yet. I hope the swelling goes down and I get better soon because this is kind of miserable. I'll post pics once the bruises fade a little. Right now it is pretty bad. Updated on 22 Dec 2014: I went to the doctor today for my 2 week visit. I had some oozing and burning pain under my left arm. I guess I bent my arm the wrong way or something because a stitch opened up and I have a small infection. So that sucks but the rest of me is fine. Pain is minimal now. Bruising is pretty much gone. The scar down my arm is really small and thin. I thought it would be a lot worse but it's not that bad and it's only going to get better as it heals more. So hopefully that small infected area will heal fast and I'll be able to get the rest of my stitches out. The doctor said I won't be able to work out for about 4-6 weeks. Can't wait to heal and get back on track with my diet and working out again.
