Two weeks ago, I left a heating pad on my post-mastectomy breast. It burned and there was a big blister. They removed the blister in the ER, and it was looking better. I applied silver something ointment twice a day for over a week and kept gauze on it. First picture is how it looked right away. Two weeks later it's caked in hard blood. I'm not sure if it's healing, if I should keep treating it, etc. it kind of looks worse. That's the second picture.

Thank you Verdie for your questions. Initially after a lumpectomy of that size, the defect may fill in with fluid, which initially may give your breast a normal contour. However, over time, this fluid gets absorbed by your body, resulting in contour deformities, and possible nipple...
I would highly recommend you speak to your doctor about your concerns about a possible infection prior to taking the antibiotics. Antibiotic use can increase the resistance of bacteria and make then less effective when needed.Good luck!
