Is coarse, dark wiry hairs a symptom of androgenic alopecia in females?

mcb93
I am 24. I have been diagnosed with androgenic alopecia/FPHL. I currently take spironolactone and use rogaine. I have these thicker, black, wiry hairs (similar texture to pubic hair) growing in the areas I also have thinning. Is this normal? What causes this? They are all about 4 inches long. Thanks!
