I have alot of dark spots on my legs (strawberry legs). I hate them and want them to lighten up or disappear. My legs are very light so they show. It makes me really insecure to wear shorts or dresses. I wanted to know what can I do to get rid of them or lighten them significantly. Can I get a chemical peel on my legs? Please help

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

Chemical peels can be considered but you should also find
out what is causing this discoloration. Are your hair follicles too thick? Perhaps
hair laser removal may be a suggestion to prevent this condition from getting
any worse. Once that is under control you can work on further treating the
marks.

Before going the chemical peeling route I might suggest trying bleaching agents locally applied. Best to see either a dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon to help you..
