Drains are not necessary for the procedure. The drainage typically stops in about 24 hours or so. Pads and garment can be used for drainage.
I recommend patients to use pads over the incisions until they stop draining. The drainage usually stops within 24-48 hours. Consult your surgeon for post op instructions.
I do not use drains either. The incisions may drain a bit and I usually have patients wear bandages over the incision sites. Best to ask your surgeon what type of post-op care is reasonable.
Typically drains are used in a traditional BBL. Depending on who performs your surgery is there are various activity instructions which you will need to follow to minimize swelling and other complications.

Fat grafting for a BBL is highly variable depending on donor site availability and goals for the procedure. In general the volume will range from 500cc each side to 1500cc if you were to look at 1 standard deviation.
