Interested in getting a BBL to help my overall body shape appearance. I got a breast augmentation a few years ago which helped hide my pectus carinatum. I am hoping that a BBL will help reduce my high self hips aka "violin deformity." I know that I do not have that much body fat to work and I don't expect a huge bottom but I am hoping it will be enough to augment my bottom into a heart shaped bottom rather than the long square shape it is now. I have provided pictures for your review. Thank you.
Answer: BBL Candidate? Hello and Great Question. I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure. My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist. I agree with you. Based on your photos, you do not have a significant amount of fat. I do think you have enough fat to build out the frame of your butt (i.e. hips and midbutt) to help give the butt/frame/torso a more heart or round shape. However, if you wanted significantly more volume to your butt, then I think you would need a butt implant and/or medical grade fillers in addition to the lipo/fat transferI hope that helps! Answer: Will a Brazilian butt lift help reduce my high hips aka "violin deformity" and help reduce my square shaped bottom? Both of those things can be accomplished. Thinner patients require a different skill set to get a great result with liposuction and BBL.

Answer: BBL candidate You can certainly improve your shape with liposuction and fat transfer however you would have an even better result if your weight was slightly higher. About 30-40% of the transferred fat will atrophy in the first few months so it's better to have some extra fat cells. Consult with a few plastic surgeons in person for a thorough exam.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Answer: BBL Procedure Hello, thanks so much for your inquiry and for posting your pictures. You will need to have liposuction in several areas in order to get more fat for the transfer. You need not only to have fat grafted in your buttocks but also in your hips, with liposuction in your waist it would help a lot to get the hourglass shape that is so appealing to achieve. Please make sure that you and your surgeon are on the same page. Don't forget to discuss all your concerns, options and expectations thoroughly. Have a safe and pleasant PS Journey!Respectfully,Dr. Jaime Campos-LeonBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
