Can Latisse make your eyelashes fall out? I've been using it for probably 6 months now.

It does help them to grow longer and thicker but after about 90 days or so they fall out in mass quantities to the point where I have bald spots. I've never had this issue before. My mom has been using it also and she doesn't have these issues so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or if I should just stop using it

I have heard patients report this. Once you reach the length and thickness of your lashes you desire, use Latisse only once a week to maintain and avoid eyelash loss.

Bimatoprost works by prolonging the growth phase of the hairs. It typically takes 6 weeks to see a difference. If you are having patchy loss of hairs, you may have a condition called alopecia areata. Make an appointment with your dermatologist to determine if this is your case.
