QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Do I need to worry? Does this need wound care other than cleansing and keeping dry? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

This is fairly common for large breast reductions. I would recommend cleaning the wound with soap and water. Once it is clean and dry, apply a thin layer of OTC antibiotic ointment and a dry gauze. Doing this daily should help the wound heal. If the wound does not continue to get better or this area becomes red/hot to touch and you start having fevers you should contact your plastic surgeon.

Had a breast reconstruction done out of the country and had to travel back to the US. Will I have trouble remove my stitches?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You could try to call around to different plastic surgeons in your area to see if a nurse can see you for a quick visit to remove them (probably for a fee).

Do these incisions look ok? 13 days post-op breast reduction (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Your incisions look completely normal for this point in the healing process. The darker areas are most likely dried blood or left over marker on your skin. Hope this helps!

I had breast reduction March 25, 2019 and I have a very indented breast. Is this normal and can it be fixed? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

This can most likely be corrected with a scar revision of the indented area. Contact your plastic surgeon to discuss your options.

A year after breast reduction. Why do I get short-lasting but frequent sharp pains that are more prominent when sunbathing?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Frequent sharp pains are usually associated with nerve pain. The nerves in your breast and nipple were cut during surgery. While these nerves are growing back and recovering, you can experience frequent sharp pains.

Can Latisse make your eyelashes fall out? I've been using it for probably 6 months now.

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I have heard patients report this. Once you reach the length and thickness of your lashes you desire, use Latisse only once a week to maintain and avoid eyelash loss.

Will I get more cleavage as I “drop and fluff”? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

They will not drop closer together as you heal. The placement of the implants and your natural cleavage is based on your anatomy pre-op. They will, however, become softer as you heal and you will be able to push them together to form the look of the cleavage you desire.

3 weeks post-op. Do you think they are too big and too high? Would moderate profile have been better? Advice? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The implants will start to drop and settle into a more natural looking position starting at 3 weeks post op. The implants appearing “too high” is normal for this point in your recovery. As far as size, that is a personal preference. I will say 300-350cc round high profile is a very average size implant. Your PS might have you massage your implants down if necessary.

Hypertrophic scar advice please 3 months post facelift. (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

its been a while since your post and hopefully your scars have been treated and better.  if several injections didn't do the trick, consider scar revision.  this all can be trying on the personal psyche so I hope you were able to get the treatments to alleviate the scars as much as possible.  best.

Facial physiotherapy after facelift?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

this far out you should be fine.  most of the healing occurs within the first month.  sometimes when necks are "too tight" I actually recommend stretching exercises.  shouldn't be a problem.

218lbs, 5’6, tummy tuck & flanks, back & hips lipo - love new body

Had my consult April 11th expecting to be turned away with an amount of weight I needed to lose first. Nope! My surgery was at my consult for 2 weeks later! I was around 218lbs, 5’6, and exactly 6 months postpartum from my 3rd baby. My normal weight has always been around 170lbs. With every baby I’ve had I’ve gained around 40-60lbs. Also with every baby I’ve lost the weight by 1 year postpartum. This has caused me to have a big ole belly. I’ve always had hips and thighs. Not this bad but always been a thick girl. Everyone at Dr. Jains office was so nice. And they remember you when you come back which makes you feel so welcome and just good about yourself. From Raven at the front desk and Courtney who was my nurse, both of these ladies are so welcoming! Courtney (my super pretty nurse), didn’t make me feel judged at all and when I was judging myself she stopped me real quick to tell me how i was already beautiful and Dr.Jain was gonna just build on that! Day of surgery-1 week post op: Was really nervous until I saw Courtney was the same nurse I would have with me for surgery and that surgery was in the same building as the clinic! Everything was explained very well. Next thing I knew I woke up and it was done. I didn’t feel much pain for the first 3 days. After that my swelling was really bad. In both my stomach and my lipo areas and still is 1 week post op. But the meds are def helping. At my 1 week post op visit my lipo stitches were removed. Belly button has to wait another week. Almost 2 weeks post op: my freaking body looks banging to me! It almost looks like there is more swelling now than there was a week ago but even if this is what my body will look like permanently I still love it! Dr. Jain hooked me up! I knew I was getting lipo but I guess I didnt know how well that would look. I fully expected to still have back rolls. Well, I don’t!!!!!!!! I’m loving my new body and can’t wait to see what it will look like when all the swelling goes down. Just go ahead and go see Dr. Jain and staff! You will not regret it!!!!

Perky C cup - saline 375cc to 520cc silicone, Natrelle, cohesive, mid-profile

Ladies— read my review. Ive had the same saline implants since 1997. Heavy lifter and a workout queen. I decide 10 years ago I wanted them redone because of an extra pocket that developed on my right side. Causing my breast to shift. And when I lay on my left or right side I get a strain. I interviewed over 10 doctors in Atlanta. But decide not to go through with it and the cost was too high. I told a few of my friends about my issue and all in the same month these 3 different friend said Dr Jain. So I booked an appointment in October 2021. At my consult I felt DrJain listened to what I wanted to achieve and fix my right shifted boob.. He recommended the silicone natrelle cohensive mid profile. The price was right and I was able to get my surgery in 8 weeks from my appointment. He prescribed several medication . I got them al just in case. The whole pre, during and post operation went smooth. He removed my saline 375 and put 520 silicone. My right breast was sore for 7 days and it took 7 -8 weeks to heal . He had to sewn my extra pocket in a lot. It’s still sore here and there. My breast look awesome. They are Nice perky and full. I didn’t have to buy any new bras because I was a small c … now I’m a full c. He is a honest doctor and will be straight with you . Don’t get mad if the doctor tells you lose weight (that’s what he told me friend)

I’m 3 months post surgery now and beyond happy with my results

Pregnancy was rough on my body. My babies were huge and I gained and lost nearly 60lbs each time (almost half my normal weight). As a result my belly wound up looking like a big blob of melted plastic. I work out all the time and no amount of diet or exercise could ever get rid of my loose skin. For years I told myself that it wasn’t a big deal. I didn’t like it but it was just vanity. I could cover it up, although I could only wear loose shirts because anything fitted made me look like I had a gut. I’m 44 now, definitely done having babies, and finally decided that feeling insecure about my body was no better that being vain. It was something I thought about frequently either way. Pretty much any local person you ask in this area will tell you that Dr. Jain is the best plastic surgeon in town. I’m a cheapskate in a lot of area of my life but when comes to surgery, I’m not cutting any corners. Dr. Jain was very honest and professional. His staff has been with him for ages, which says a lot about a business in my opinion. Everyone did a thorough job of explaining the procedures and costs. Dr. Jain recommend abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) with liposuction of the flanks. I questioned if I really needed the lipo, but I’m really glad I listened to him because it made my results so much better. I was really nervous about surgery, but I read statistics that say the mortality rate for tummy tucks is about the same as that of having a C-section- very low. The week before surgery they gave me a long list of prescriptions to have filled. My insurance paid for the meds. I followed all the pre-op instructions and everything went well with the surgery. I woke up in very little pain. They had injected a long-acting numbing medicine in my abs during surgery so the pain didn’t really start until the second day. It was pretty intense once it did start. It was manageable with the prescription pain medication but getting up to go to the bathroom was not easy. I had to do this weird little sideways shuffle because it hurt too much to even put one foot in front of the other. Day 3 wasn’t much better. By day 4 the pain calmed down some. I could walk a little with my hands on my knees as instructed by the doctor. I had my drain removed about 5 days Post surgery. I really didn’t have much drainage. At this point I was just taking Tylenol for the pain. The constipation from the prescription meds was no joke. The fiber pills they recommended did nothing for me so I had to get some Mirilax and chased it with prune juice. I was glad I had my surgery during a cooler month (October) otherwise the binder I had to wear for 6 weeks would have gotten very hot and sweaty. By week 2 I was feeling better, but although I was allowed to walk upright at this point I was not physically able to. By 3 weeks I could stand about 90% straight. I work from home so it wasn’t too big of a deal, but there is no way I would have been able to go back to any other kind of work environment before 3 weeks. I think the 2 week off from work recommendation is very much best -case scenario. I was very fit before surgery. Maybe if you’re still in your 20’s or just have a mini-tummy tuck 2 weeks is possible. A month later I was finally able to stand straight and felt mostly back to normal. At 6 weeks I got back to running, biking and the gym. I’m 3 months post surgery now and beyond happy with my results. The scar is still fading, but will just be a low line from hip to hip that most bathing suits and underwear should cover. Dr. Jain was honest with me before the surgery that since my stretch marks went so high up on my belly that they would not be gone completely. In some light they are barely noticeable though. My belly button turned out perfectly (my old one was pretty much hidden under loose skin anyway). This procedure was 10000000% worth it.

I am very glad I chose him and couldn't be happier with the results

I had a consultation with Dr.Jain and decided I wanted to schedule a tummy tuck. He answered my many questions, was very patient, and very kind. In fact, everyone I encountered was helpful and nice. We discussed the healing process and what to expect. Honestly, most of the pain the first two weeks was from walking hunched over, causing the pain in your lower back. The recovery had its tough moments, but worth it for me ! Everyday, you will slowly begin to stand upright a bit more. It took me about 3 weeks to be completely upright! You will wear a waist binder all day and night to keep things in place for the first 6 weeks. I had my 6 week appt this past Wed, and everything is healing nicely. No issues at all. I had a few consults with other surgeons and decided Dr. Ashish Jain was the right match for me. I am very glad I chose him and couldn't be happier with the results.

Tummy Tuck 3 days Post Op.

3 days post op (5'6 and 190 lbs) lost 3 pounds. Dominicana. I'm still walking a tad slanted and have pain. I don't have a recliner so sleeping has been a horrible experience. My incision site is is taped but it's very clean and smooth. Bruising is slowly fading and the drain is becoming more yellowish (which means it's almost done). Since I've been using more of my legs and arms to get around they've become sore. I'll keep yall updated and post more pics! Updated on 9 Jun 2021: Everything is tight and hard from the swelling. I'm able to use the bathroom and walk around independently but then start to feel overwhelmed after a few minutes. I look snatched so happy about that but the swelling feels like they weigh 50lbs. Updated on 9 Jun 2021: Still slightly hunched over. The tightness and swelling hasn’t changed much BUT I am able to cough and laugh a bit without pain. My drain was removed yesterday, 1 week PO, and all my stitches too (expect belly button and the ends of incision). They will remove next week. I bought SHEIN clothes for work and I’m stoked. So far so good. This experience is worth every penny and each day in recovery. I’m insanely happy!!!!!!!!! Updated on 17 Jun 2021: They sure tucked me up. Nothing is bulging out. I feel so much more confident in my clothes! I can finally wear bodysuits and not look pregnant. As soon as I’m fully recovered I’m going to continue weight training and work on my legs/arm.

Amazing results! Dr. Jain and his staff were very professional

Amazing results! Dr. Jain and his staff were very professional, welcoming, and answered all of my questions. I will be returning for liposuction. I'm hoping it's within my budget, but we shall see! Updated on 23 Feb 2020: The recovery was great. I went back to work the following week. This surgery literally boosted my confidence, I was EXTREMELY insecure about my breasts. I couldn’t be happier with my perky & youthful look. Updated on 24 Feb 2020: I scar extremely easily so I don’t mind it at all.

If I could give Dr. Jain 12 stars, I would! He is the best!!!

Dr. JAIN and all the people on his staff deserve 10+ stars!! He is wonderful and I’ve been going to him for several years. I’ve been 100% pleased with everything he has done for me and “on me.” As an attorney, I always do my research for any of my doctors, and he came highly recommended. I don’t live in Columbus at all but he and his skills are worth the ride. Just had a great “pick me up day” with him on Jan. 24, 2019. I got fillers and I’m so pleased. At near 68, his work makes me look as if I’ve had a great and restful vacation. You won’t be disappointed. His staff is stellar too!
