Hi! I have researched Latisse so many times over the years, and while I really want to try it, I know that my particular eye color is the one that is susceptible to changing when bimatoprost is used INSIDE the eye as drops for glaucoma. Do you think with my eye color I would be safe to use it only on my lash line for eyelash growth, or is there more info now that suggests I should not? Thank you!!

Answer: Latisse® & Side Effects Good Afternoon and thank you for your question. Latisse® does have the capability of changing the iris of the eye if the product goes directly into the eye. As long as you follow the instructions and apply the liquid to the upper eye lid only there should not be an issue. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Latisse and Hazel Eyes This is a great question. Hazel eyes are susceptible to color change with Latisse even if you are only applying it to the lash line because some will get into your eye. The risk is likely lower with the lash line application than with the larger amount placed directly into the eye for glaucoma but it is real for patients with hazel eyes. It is not a problem for blue eyes as blue eyes are blue because of reflection and have no pigment. Brown eyes also do not have a problem, just the hazel. If this is a concern for you, which is very understandable, then lash thickeners or extensions may be a better option for you or Alpheon eyelash serum which is more like Rogaine than Latisse and does not have the same eye color change risk.
