I got number 8 tooth removed 4 months ago, and I just had the implant put in. I've heard that I need to wait 4-6 months to do the crown now. I have read different answers though online. I would like to a few more opinions though

Answer: Crown After Implant Four to six months is the average healing time for the bone to integrate with the dental implant for the top teeth. There are cases where the tooth can be added to the dental implant at the time the implant is placed; however, those are very specific circumstances with many variables that only the dentist treating you would know. The most conservative approach with the highest success rate is going to be to wait those four to six months.

Answer: How soon to restore implant It depends on several factors. Some implants have specially treated surfaces to allow them to take faster. Some take in as little as 3 weeks and can be restored with a crown very quickly. Quite often the determining factor is the tightness of the implant when inserted. If it real tight when placed it can be restored sooner and in some cases the same day. If the insertion tightness or torque is low then several months must pass before it can be restored. Your surgeon can tell you when the time is right. He will do a trial torque test before sending you back to your dentist to restore the implant with a crown. When multiple implants are restored together they can be loaded immediately such as in the case of all on 4 or same day teeth. This is because they are stronger together and support each other .
