Is a chemical peel 3 months after the PicoSure laser a good way to treat PIH from pico?

Hi, I am an Asian woman who I did picosure laser three months ago for sun damages. Unfortunately, my dark sports came back darker three weeks after the treatment. I have been using trenoinin cream at night and expensive skinseutical products in the morning. So my sports are fading after three months, but they are still there and I hate them. I am wondering if any chemical peel would help or I should wait patiently more three months? I am so afraid that chemical peel will give me PIH.

Getting a light chemical peel for Post inflammatory altered pigmentation (PIAP) after other treatments does nicely but may need a couple. Jessner's soln or 10-15%TCA is great for this.

Thanks for you question.  We tell our patients not to be surprised if their brown spots appear darker after treatment.  It is the pigment moving closer to the surface.  Sometimes they get larger or new spots appear.  We recommend a series of 4 PicoSure FOCUS treatments with every patient.  If you are concerned, please contact your treating physician.  I hope this helps.
