Can laser hair removal be done every 2 weeks on the face?

My clinic recommends getting laser on the face at two week intervals due to the fact that I haven't noticed any hair fall out between sessions. I questioned this as I thought 4 weeks is recommended between treatments but they said that this is only applies to every other area of the body except the face which can be done at 2 week intervals. I would like to know if it is common to have treatments every 2 weeks and am I likely to start noticing hair shed by doing this instead of every weeks

The key to successful laser hair removal is catching the hair in the right growth cycle.  The hair does grow faster on the face so do not wait more than 5 weeks.  In our office we like to schedule between 3-4 weeks.  If you have an upcoming event, such as a wedding, that you are trying to get ready for, then you can certainly try every 2 weeks, but be cautious and if you do not notice the hair growing out in between cycles it may be too soon to retreat.

At the beginning of the treatment it's important to schedule your laser hair reduction visits every 4 weeks apart.  Out facial hairs grow faster that body hair due to increased hormone secretion.  It takes at least 2 sessions to make sure that all their hairs have been targeted.  On average, you start to notice a significant improvement by your 3rd session.  As you go along with your treatment you may schedule appointments even further apart, 6-8 weeks.  Your hair will be growing slower.
