Would CoolSculpting after Lipo be worth it for me?

Question

I am a petite 34 year female, I had lipo preformed on my flanks and inner outer thighs last October. Although I am happy with the results I feel that more fat could have been removed from my flanks. To get it redone will cost me $3,000. I had a consult for cool sculpting for my flanks and lower stomach and they recommend 1 treatment for each area should be enough. They quoted $1,000 for both areas. Would appreciate your feedback and recommendations, thanks.

CoolSculpting may be a good option for you after your liposuction. You don’t appear to have much fat left to eliminate. However, most patients do require more than one CoolSculpting treatment, so I would keep that in mind as you weigh your choices. If you undergo CoolSculpting, you should not have any downtime after your procedure. The fat is frozen and eliminated by the body over time, so you will see your results develop in the weeks following your procedure. Make sure the doctor you work with is board certified with expertise in using the CoolSculpting device to ensure the best possible results.

It is possible to have a CoolSculpting treatment to an area previously treated with liposuction, but in my opinion, you would really need to have an examination to determine if you might be a good candidate for CoolSculpting or not.  Although I have seen results with just one CoolSculpting treatment, I would say this is not common and most people need more than one treatment to get their desired improvement.  So, I would not assume that one treatment would be enough for you if you had it done.

While it is not unheard of the get CoolSculpting after liposuction surgery, it is certainly unusual for a patient such as yourself to consider it, based on your photographs. Diet and exercise are the best way to maintain and even improve your results after any body contouring procedure. I’ve noticed that some patients tend to fixate on the areas where they have had work done. I would recommend to give it some time before considering to undergo another procedure.
