I have Many Health issues, C.O.P.D, Cervical/Lung Cancer (good now). They did a Lobectomy. Nuero Stimulator inplanted in my lower back and have had 6 back surgeries. And wonder if I would look distorted if I went to a A Cup. Have numerous surgery of other types and I am know as the scar tissue queen. How bad will it be with this surgery? Any help you can provide would be so welcomed.
Answer: I'm 5'7" 190lbs, 44D and having reduction Oct 26,2015. How many grams have to be removed to get to a B Cup? Thank you for the question. Based on your description and pictures, you may be an excellent candidate for breast reduction surgery. This operation tends to be one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform. “Typical” patients who present for breast reduction surgery are women who have disproportionately large breasts, causing problems such as neck/back/shoulder discomfort, postural changes, bra strap grooving, skin irritation/rashes under the breasts, and/or difficulty with activities of daily living and/or exercise etc. Reducing breast tissue mass and elevating the breasts on the chest wall tend to improve or alleviate many of the symptoms associated with the disproportionately large breasts. Patients considering breast reduction surgery should also consider the potential downsides (risks/complications) associated with the procedure as well. Poor scarring, for example may be associated with the procedure. Additional surgery may be necessary in the short or longer term for a multitude of reasons. Once you have chosen your plastic surgeon carefully, it will be important for you to communicate her goals carefully as well. In my practice, I asked patients to use as many “visual aids”, such as goal photographs, during the communication process. Avoid the use of subjective terms; for example, "C or D cup” and/or “ as small as possible"… these terms can be confusing, since they may mean different things to different people. Once you have communicated your goals, your chosen plastic surgeon will be able to provide you with a more precise plan, including specific technique to be utilized. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to breast reduction surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast reduction The calculation formula typically used by insurance companies to determine how many grams of breast tissue must be removed before they will pay for a breast reduction is called the Schnur scale. It is based on your height and body weight to calculate a BMI (body mass index). At 5'7" 190 lbs, the required number of grams to be removed would be 687 grams or more. You can discuss with your plastic surgeon to estimate cup size. I generally shy away from a guarantee of a certain cup size because I want to remove the required amount but also make sure the patient looks balanced and attractive. Remember that cups sizes differ by the type/style/maker of your bras
