Is it wise for lipedema and/or dercums patients to get skin removal surgery, considering the risk to the lymphatics?

Creative9004
I have Lipedema and Dercums. I had water assisted lipo this past summer to address the lipedema. Prior to that I lost over 100 lbs and am left with loose skin. I am interested in skin removal (thighs, abdomen, etc) but fear this could worsen my condition. I am at my goal weight and continue to watch my diet and exercise. Surgeons familiar with Lipedema, please advise. If skin removal is ok, what advice can you offer to reduce complications, specific to worsening lipedema? Other advice?
