I'm considering Halo for treatment of vertical lip line above and under. I don't like fillers as it does not last long and causes too much bruising. I just had a fractional CO2 the other day but did not do much, maybe because I think the doctor only did one pass as my skin is sensitive and the numbing cream did not work as expected, so it was painful. Anyway wondering if I should try Halo or do another Fractional laser and which one?

Halo uses 2 different wavelengths to target the surface and deeper layers of the skin. Using both wavelengths will assist in smoothing the surface as well as stimulating collagen production deeper in the skin. Microneedling won't give as much of a smoothing as the Halo
Thank you for your question. Type 4 skin has to be approached with care as with all patients that have melanin tick. Complications such as hyperpigmentation can be mitigated by using proper settings, skin prep, and the right laser.

I'm sorry about your experience but the icepick scars will best be treated with TCA Cross. The deeper scars need filler. RFM is much better than microneedling alone and would consider that. The Halo can treat acne scarring and I would certainly take them up on the 3 they offered you. I would...
