I asked the doctor if I could also get CO2 for my upper lip and she said that I was not a good candidate. I would like to get a more clear answer and why and what are my options. I have been getting Botox on my upper lips for a couple of years and it does help but was hoping by now to get some type of laser so the results would last longer. Why is it okay for my face to get the CO2 under my eye but not for my lip area. Thank you in advance for an answer.
Answer: Possible CO2 laser for lip area Just based on your photos, I do not see any reason why you could not have CO2 laser treatment to your lip area.

Answer: How to treat perioral lines above the lip From your photo, it appears you would be a very good candidate for a fully ablative CO2 laser treatment above the lip. This is an area that is often treated with fillers but like you, patients develop “filler fatigue” and want something longer lasting. Lasers are a good option for resurfacing the skin and encouraging collagen in the area but to erase your wrinkles, a fractionated laser is not strong enough, even if it is a CO2. It must be fully ablative, and this type of laser takes two weeks to heal. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified dermatologist who has expertise in laser devices. With a qualified provider and a customized treatment plan, you should get a very good result.

Answer: Treatment for perioral lines You appear to be a very good candidate for CO2 laser in the lip area to treat the perioral lines. The treatment would offer more dramatic, long-lasting results than you are currently getting with Botox alone. Make sure you are working with a very experienced, board-certified dermatologist to ensure you get a customized treatment plan and the best possible results.

Answer: Facial Rejuv -- PRP/Microneedling, Laser (Fraxel/Halo/Co2), emeragecosmetics COSMELAN/ENLIGHTEN/EMERAGESKIN AERIFY you are an amazing candidate for co2 laser, I am not sure what your provider is talking about. you are also a great candidate for dermaroling at home (see link) and peels, as well as halo combined with fillers and micro needling for these areas. at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules weekly, see linkt) should be started now to prevent further aging. For facial rejuvenation, I would suggest a combination approach of 1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling 2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors 3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel/halo Viva, Co2/Erbium 4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill 5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting 6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest 7) deep microneedling RF like Fractora/morpheus8 for tightening of the skin 8) Vascular laser like vbeam/excel V or BBL forever young treatment every quarter (3-4 months) Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Lips?? Hello and thank you for your question. By upper lip I assume you are talking about the"mustache" area and not the mucosa of your lip surface. I routinely do upper lip area when I do complete faces with CO2. I am uncertain why your provider would decline to do this for you. It is a very safe area to laser. I would get a second opinion from another provider. Best of luck to you.
