Can a Tummy Tuck be performed 1 month post bunion surgery (1 foot)? I will be out of work for 8-10 weeks.

Question

I understand the risks of blood clots with being inactive after any surgery. If I were active and not experiencing severe pain in the foot, is a tummy tuck a possibility? I feel like it would be the only time I would have enough time off from work to do such a procedure.

This may be reasonable but will be contingent on how well recovery proceeds. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs 
hundreds of tummy tucks each year.  Then look at the plastic surgeon's 
website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can 
deliver the results.

One important part of recovery after a tummy tuck is early ambulation.  This is for blood clot prevention and to promote circulation.  If you are needing to remain off your foot then this is not the time to add a tummy tuck.  Once you are cleared to walk normally with full weight and no restrictions you can consider an abdominoplasty.

The surgeries could be performed a month apart.  Much would depend on how you recuperate after the bunionectomy. I find that, while many patients would like to maximize their sick leave with multiple procedures, they don't feel great after the first one.  You must be off pain medication and blood thinners for at least two weeks prior to a tummy tuck and this is also a consideration.
