Liposuction can be performed in any area twice, however after one treatment the amount of skin retraction that you can expect will diminish significantly. I would temper your expectations for skin tightening quite a bit following the first attempt at liposuction.

Hello,To answer your question honestly, the smart lipo of the chin should never be repeated. This type of procedure is done once and is done. Fat cells which are removed with the smartlipo are gone forever and they never come back. Smartlipo also helps with the skin tightening of the chin. Yes, you can have SmartLipo in the same area more than once. However, when you had previous surgeries, you don't have virgin fat anymore ( fibrosis instead)

Occasionally someone will need another round of Smartlipo to the chin area (submental). generally you should wait 5 months at least between sessions, since you will improve after Smartlipo for 6 months. If you go to an experienced plastic surgeon, then there should be minimal risks or problems doing it a second time.

Smart liposuction can be repeated in a previously treated area if the previous treatment was performed more than 6 months ago to allow for subsidence of postsurgical swelling and completion of the healing process. 15% of cosmetic surgeries may be improved through secondary revision.
