Will the use of Minoxidil kill or hurt any REAL facial hair that exists?

As we know one of the main culprits
of androgenetic alopecia is DHT.  DHT is created not only at the skin
level on our scalps, but predominantly in the prostate.  It is then
circulated through our bodies within our blood.
Minoxidil (the
active ingredient in Rogaine) is a vasodilator.  This means that it
increases blood flow to the areas where it is used. It is also a mild
hair growth stimulant.  If you happen to create a lot of DHT, then the
amount of extra DHT you are sending to your scalp could very well be
more than the hair growth stimulation effect of minoxidil resulting in
more hair loss rather than less.
