I am depressed i am only 23 and i am losing my mind my self esteem over my shiny scalp showing through my hair very clearly,i cant do anything about it i tried different doctors herbal medicine diy shampoos etc by a year now but zero outcome,my scalp tends to get extremely oily And hair very stringy.there are v tiny short fine hairs all over my scalp.my father mother siblings my all grandparents cousins thy all hv great hair except for one paternal and two maternal uncles.i need help plz

Only a careful review of your story and up close exam can determine all causes. You will need blood tests as well to exclude issues such as iron and thyroid dysfunction.

Hair-fall after sickness like high fever or major surgery or pregnancy are common. There can be considerable amount of hair loss due to ageing and change in hormones associated with menopause. Excessive styling or putting hair through too much stress can cause hair loss. Certain skin problems can lead to scarring and hair loss. Most times the situation can be reversed by its self and arrested at a stage if diagnosed at correct time with medication and making nutritional and lifestyle adjustments. If required hair transplant procedure can be helpful to bring permanent results. A consultation with doctor and some blood tests to look for possible causes is imperative.
