Is it normal for my gums to look white after an implant and bone graft?

Hi:The white gum is the initial phase of healing which will turn pink in the next 2-4 weeks.  However, it is always best to have your implant surgeon to look at the area to make sure all is ok.Best,Dr. Maddahi

Hi, Frederick. I am not sure what you are seeing as "white". But a mouth wound will during its healing stage produce a white film over the wound. I am assuming this is what you are seeing. If you have further questions I would suggest you see your surgeon. Good luck and hope you have great success with your implant.
