Which complications can happen with vampire facials/ microneedling on black skin? Can hyperpigmentation develop?
Answer: Black skin and vampire/ micro needling facial. Microneedling is a very safe procedure when done by an experienced physician. The main concern with black skin is inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. In my office I recommend using a prescription bleaching cream and retin A for at least 4 weeks, stop for 1 week and have the micro needling. Since every patient is different you should consult with a doctor first.

Answer: Risk of Vampire facials/Microneedling on black skin The Vampire facial is Microneedling of PRP. It can help with pore size, acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles. I have performed this procedure on darker skin and seen no complications. However, depending on the history and the area of treatment,, I may recommend pretreating the skin wth products to decrease the risk of hyperpigmentation such as hydroquinone, kojic acid and/or Vitamin C.

Answer: Skin types and microneedling Hell realcaroMicroneedling is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. We use state of the art physician grade technology called Skin Pen II. The fine needles of the device are used to minimally puncture the skin to create a controlled skin injury. Each puncture creates a channel that triggers the body to fill these microscopic wounds by producing new collagen and elastin.Contraindications with microneedling include a history of shingles (only on area being treated), multiples cold sores in a year, and a history of keloid scarring. Microneedling is a fantastic option for all skin types looking to improve skin texture and to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles. Talk to an expert before the treatment is being done to see if they would like to have you do any preparations a few weeks prior to the treatment.I have extensive experience with microneedling, my practice currently offers microneedling for $249. See my RealSelf profile for more examples of this procedure.Thank you
