I am 22 with a BMI of 39. I want to get an arm lift (as I lost 80 pounds) and breast augmentation. Do you think it is possible for a surgeon to agree to do these procedures as my BMI is high.

Answer: Can I get an arm lift and breast augmentation with a BMI of 39 Congratulations on your weight loss! It is best for your safety to postpone surgery until you have lowered your BMI. For elective plastic surgery it is recommended that a patient have a BMI under 30 to keep risk for complications from increasing. It will also allow your surgeon the ability to optimize your results.

Answer: Can I get an arm lift and breast augmentation with a BMI of 39? Congratulations on your successful weight loss thus far!Yes it is possible (actually very likely) that you will find a surgeon to perform the operations for you now, but you should not do so. Doing so will expose you to increased preoperative risks and less than optimal aesthetic outcomes; doing so will also increase the chances that additional surgery will be necessary down the line (short term). Achieve your long-term stable weight then proceed. Best wishes.
