Almost every woman has one breast that is slightly bigger or smaller than the other. Sometimes this is a very notable difference and sometimes it is minute. 25 cc is a small amount, but often just enough to balance the chest wall on a patient that has a slight volume asymmetry.
Small differences in cc's in breast implants are common to achieve a perfect result. In a large breast, 25 cc's may be hard to tell much of a difference. Let your PS decide which size is best for you.
Thanks for your question. I know that it seems very small since it is less than one ounce. No one however has mirror image breasts. About 20% of the breast augmentations I do require different implant sizes to correct an asymmetry. The tricky part is if there is a very large volume difference because as implants get larger, they get wider. If your plastic surgeon feels it is necessary, you can either trust them or seek a 2nd opinion. Best of Luck!
Almost every woman has some slight difference in the size and shape of her breasts. You are correct, 25cc is very little, but since implants are not packaged as pairs, we can choose implant sizes very precisely to give the best possible symmetry. Think about shoes, wouldn't it be nice to be able to buy one shoe that is a half size different than the other- it may not be much, but may fit better! Good luck
Most women, in the preoperative state, have breasts that are different in size and it is quite common to use different sized/filled implants to even things out. 25 ccs may sound like a lot but it amounts to less than a shot glass. Hope this helps!
There is a very small volume in 25cc (less than 2 Tb). I am not totally clear about your question but this obviously would not amount to a great difference.
Fill a small balloon with water, place it in a shot glass and remove enough water for it to just fill the glass. Tie the balloon off and put it in your bra to see what difference 35 ccs will make. Volume asymmetry is very common. We frequently fill implants with different amounts of saline during surgery to achieve perfect symmetry. Dr Foster
One of the most widely recognized factors in capsule contracture is blood around an implant, and the only reliable way to clear all of the blood from around an implant is to open the pocket and physically remove all of the blood and wash the tissues. Depending upon when the bleeding...
Back in the day, all plastic surgeons in the 80's did closed capsulotomies. Closed capsulotomies were ways of squeezing hard on the breast in order to tear the capsule, which then led to an immediately softer breast, with also potential bleeding which would lead to even a harder breast...
From your photograph, you appear to be larger than size 40 B. However, your breasts are misshapen with your nipples pointing downwards. You are an excellent candidate for a new technique called The Ultimate Breast Lift. This technique reshapes your breast tissue creating upper...
