No, it is not necessary to apply for Care Credit prior to a consultation. In most offices, a patient care coordinator will go over the finance options and help you through the process of applying for the plan that best fits your needs, including Care Credit.
Of course not. But your question could also have been "Do I need to find out what type of cosmetic surgery I need and the cost before I apply for Care Credit?" That might help you sort out what amounts you might want to qualify for. Most offices can give you a ballpark figure for surgery costs. Be sure to ask if the fees quoted are surgical fees only, or if they represent the entire cost (surgeon's fees, operating facility charges, anesthesia costs, medications, garments and/or implants, etc.) so you have an idea what to apply for via Care Credit. Many plastic surgeons offer no-charge consultations as well, so why not start there? Best wishes! Dr. Tholen
Office staff can usually help you with this process but you can apply for this as well.Kenneth Hughes, MDBeverly Hills, CA
It all depends on the patient, I think if the patient is ready to schedule their surgical procedure and its interested in financing care credit is a great option. Easy and fast. Every single one of my patient who use care credit will continue using it for ever. It does offer great financial plans and interest for patient.
I think that it is s good idea to apply before a consultation so you know whether or not you can afford the procedure.
It would certainly be helpful to confirm that you are able to cover the cost of surgery before you get started on the arrangements.Nonetheless, it is not a big concern to learn your options prior to applying for credit. Good luck!
