375l345rgummyunderthemuscle: 1 month po, my left boob is still high. I feel some tightness especially after getting up from sitting down and I could feel the implants like balls on my chest. When does that feeling go away? I’ve also had a terrible cough since the day of surgery and still coughing a month later. I was able to take some meds 2 weeks post op and the cough has lessened but not fully gone. Could a cough worsen things? Clot some blood and cause cc lol.I was only on pain meds for 2 days

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph and I am sorry to hear of your persistent cough issues.  At a month out your cough should be dissipating quickly but rest assured it does not increase your risk of capsular contracture or blood clot formation.  Hope this helps.

Dear Aloha8,Capsular contracture affects people approximately one in 20.  No one knows exactly what causes it and what can prevent it completely. It's important for your doctor to use a minimal incision and a Keller funnel as a sleeve to protect the implant from touching anything before goes into the breast pocket.  Singulair has been shown to prevent it. There is no evidence that having a cough will lead to any issues with capsular contracture or blood clots.
