Uneven Teeth/Gum Symmetry - I have had braces and Invisalign, are veneers my only other option? (Photos)

36/F - Braces in high school followed by invisalign as an adult and I've not been able to correct uneven symmetry in my upper teeth. Is it time to consider veneers? That was my last resort as I didn't want to remove enamel as my teeth are otherwise very healthy.

In my professional opinion, your teeth look very nice overall, so I can understand why you would prefer to avoid veneers and preserve as much healthy enamel as possible.
Looking at your photos, what stands out to me is that this may not be purely a gum-line problem. One of your front teeth appears to sit slightly lower, with its incisal edge extending farther down, and the gum line on that tooth is also lower. The other central incisor appears positioned slightly higher, with both the edge of the tooth and the gum line sitting higher.
That distinction is important because it suggests that at least some of the gum asymmetry may be related to the position of the teeth themselves, rather than simply having uneven gum tissue.
If that is the case, orthodontic treatment could potentially improve both problems at the same time. By carefully moving the front teeth vertically so that their incisal edges line up more evenly, the gum levels may also become more symmetrical.
In my experience, Invisalign can be excellent for many types of tooth movement, but vertical movement of the front teeth can sometimes be more challenging and less predictable. Traditional braces can occasionally give the orthodontist more direct control when teeth need to be moved up or down.
Because your teeth otherwise appear healthy and attractive, I would consider getting an opinion from an experienced orthodontist before committing to veneers or gum surgery. I would specifically ask whether they believe the central incisors can be vertically repositioned to improve both the tooth-edge symmetry and the gum-line symmetry.
And if you do go through orthodontics again, retention afterward is extremely important. Once everything is positioned where you want it, wearing your retainers exactly as your orthodontist recommends can help prevent the teeth from drifting back over time.
So based on these photos, I would explore orthodontic correction first before removing healthy enamel for veneers.
