Did I have Bilateral Breast Hypoplasia with Asymmetry?

Question

I got implants 8 months ago. He never talked about having Bilateral Breast Hypoplasia with Asymmetry. I just read it on my medical report. I have`Polytech Mesmo implants, placed in dual plane, 430L and 485R. I don't know why the different size implants. I think I got botched, he literally destroyed my breasts. What is your opinion?

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

The short answer is yes you did have hypoplasia with asymmetry.

It is hard to tell if your right breast was larger at the start. Maybe they switched sides when placing the implants?

You are still asymmetrical.

I don't think those implants are approved in the United States.

Thank you for your question. After looking at your after photos is very obvious that one breast is bigger than the other. It is very important to always ask for the information of the implants that you have.  All the implants will have an information card that your doctor have to give you. However, your surgery seems to be very recent.  My advice is to wait at least six months to see your results after the swelling settles down.

I would suggest that you return to your original plastic surgeon to discuss your outcome and the pre-surgical diagnosis. There is no substitute for a re-examination and candid discussion regarding treatment options and potential benefits/risks, if you require them.

Review of your pre-operative photographs could provide  insight into the nature of your present asymmetries and size issues.
