Thread poking out of under eye for months. How to fix superficial monothreads under eyes?

I am in desperate need of advice. I am actually an aesthetic RN, myself and am so embarrassed to be in this situation. I had a provider whom I trusted for years with my face and achieved overall great results. Unfortunately, in July, she placed smooth (spiral) mono threads under my eyes for collagen development, but one of them was placed wither too tightly or too superficially because of the spiral, and has been poking out of my under eye for months. This experience actually ruined our relationship, because she denied all responsibility and said I just needed to be patient and it would dissolve on its own in "a few weeks". Here I am months later and everything else has dissolved except for this one thread, which is still hard, painful, and looks like a stye under my eye to the unknowing observer. I know a lot about threads and that they're supposed to dissolve, but this one has not budged at all. If anyone has experience treating misplaced threads, I am truly desperate for advice as this is really impacting my mental health and confidence. It may take a year or more to dissolve on its own and I cannot do that.
