I wanted to see if it was safe to get Cosmelan done if I have lupus?

Hi, I was diagnosed with Lupus many years ago which unfortunately caused massive hyperpigmentation on my face. I also have inactive rosacea and am on prednisone. However, I have been using hydroquinone and tretinoin with no issues. I wanted to see if it was safe to get Cosmelan done?

You will peel for 2-3 weeks and then be red for another week. see our post care its very important to get the most out of the cosmelan that you do additional products, use a mainenance plan and start LED light. your melasma / pigmentation will need this peel 2-3 times a year with AERIFY between...

No you cannot use cosmelan if you are sensitive to SLS but I would suggest looking at enlighten or aerify as an alternative and using restorsea, faith, and emerageskin products. Best, Dr. Emer.
