I want to get the Cosmelan Peel for cleaning the upper layers of my skin. Nothing is wrong with my skin just some brown spots. Why does everyone have different prizes from $600 to $2400? This is what is causing me a delay in getting the treatment.
Answer: Facial Rejuv -- PRP/Microneedling, Laser (Fraxel/Halo/Co2), emeragecosmetics COSMELAN/ENLIGHTEN/EMERAGESKIN AERIFY the price of cosmelan varies depending on who is doing the treatment, where the cosmelan comes from (spain versus US) and what combination this is used with. "real" cosmelan doesnt cost 600 there is no way, it costs the provider MORE than that. this is a very expensive peel which is why I created alternatives such as enlighten (to use every 2-3 months) and aerify (to be used every 2-4 weeks). there is a huge customer service with cosmelan, my office talks to patients daily and has a very extensive procedural protocol that is more than what is in the peel kit. you dont get that from every office. at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (emerageskin roller with anteage MD ampules weekly, see link) should be started now to prevent further aging. For facial rejuvenation, I would suggest a combination approach of 1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling 2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors 3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel/halo Viva, Co2/Erbium 4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill 5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting 6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest 7) deep microneedling RF like Fractora/morpheus8 for tightening of the skin 8) Vascular laser like vbeam/excel V or BBL forever young treatment every quarter (3-4 months) Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: No Magic To Cosmelan Peels; Standard Superficial Peels Are Relatively Inexpensive Alternatives Cosmelan peels are basically a mix of ingredients (but not hydroquinone) well-known to inhibit tyrosinase, the natural enzyme that promotes pigmentation--hence their use for treating hyperpigmentation spots, like melasma, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and "sunspots." And, as to expense of the treatments, it's often a case of what the demand and the market will bear, especially in high-ended locations. On the other hand, far less expensive peel alternatives for these kinds of problems include high concentrations of glycolic acid and salicylic acid, Jessner's solution, and low concentrations of trichloroacetic acid, which also do not utilize hydroquinone, and have decades of successful and safe use for depigmentation to back them up. Hope this helps. Best of luck.
