Is there a possibility of serious complications after 2nd round of CoolSculpting?

I’ve had one round of cool sculpting done on my legs in 2022 and would like to do another round on my stomach/ love handles. I didn’t have any side effects after the first round on my legs. Is there still a possibility that my body might react poorly the second time (also on another area) or is the risk for side effects lower now?

Hello and thank you for your question. Your risk and side effects are the same every time you do CoolSculpting. If you were fine the first time, I highly doubt you will have any side effects the second time around.

I find that complications following CoolSculpting are extremely rare.  In my opinion, the risk of a side effect would not necessarily be lower if a prior treatment had been done to a different body area.  Treatments to the stomach (abdomen) and love handles are very common and normally give improvement to patients that are good candidates for the treatment.
