Can my tooth enamel shine again?

Thank you for the brief history on your treatment. In most cases the enamel can be adjusted to its normal stage through polishing, however there are few factors to consider. As you mentioned your teeth have been "prepped" as a patient it may feel very slight but as a dentist we even a millimeter can alter an outcome specially in an esthetic sensitive area. With that in mind the amount of enamel missing can effect the "shine". Other factor to consider are previous dental procedures done to a specific tooth AND neighboring tooth, that might effect the over all appearance of the teeth.

A old composite veneer may become discolored, chipped, or worn overtime, necessitating replacement to improve aesthetics. As long as your teeth are healthy and free of decay, there are several options for improvements.
First, composite resin veneers may be done again. Composite veneers allows for improvements in contour, shape, and color of your teeth by masking your teeth with a white filling material. Old composite may be removed, and new ones bonded on. It is then shaped and polished to the desired aesthetic. 
An alternative option would be porcelain veneer. The concept is the same as composite veneer, but porcelain allows for a more lifelike, multi dimensional result. Impressions are taken of your teeth to create models on which your new veneers are fabricated on. The veneers are then cemented in place on top of your teeth's enamel to definitively restore your smile.
