Hello, I have coolsculpting scheduled and I’m reading all about how the technicians should massage afterwards to improve results. I was just wondering if using a theragun would be better than a manual massage to improve results since it would be more vigorous? I own one and I am wondering if I should bring it along. Thanks!!
Answer: Massage increases Coolsculpting results up to 60% According to our training at Coolsculpting University - the post 2 minute massage after each cycle of Coolsculpting is standard protocol. Although, it can be an uncomfortable 2 minutes, as the technician is mechanically breaking up the fat cells that have been affected (but well worth the results) as the kneading helps stimulate your cells to begin the process of removing the damaged cells. There are options of improving circulation and cell metabolism in other modalities (with radio frequency like Venus) but that step is recommended a couple weeks after your Coolsculpting. I do not see any added benefit to using a Theragun over regular kneading and circular massage - as the massage itself improves the results of Coolsculpting 60% than without the massage. There is no clinical data to support the Theragun having any increase in effectiveness of the procedure.

Answer: Coolsculpting — Combine with TrusculptID/FLEX + Cellutone/EVIVE/Z Wave for best results — “Fire and Ice” Fat Reduction I like trusculpt better or combined with coolsculpting. theragun doesnt help but can be done. z wave or RF help most. If you have small problem areas you can use non invasive methods like coolsculpting with vanquish or TrusculptID to get small areas of fat reduced. Skin also tightens if you combine this with exilis ultra, venus legacy, Inmode Forma/Contoura radiofrequency treatments. You boost the results from coolsculpting if you add in Kybella injections to melt fat as well. We also combine coolsculpting with shock therapy like Z wave, EVIVE, and cellutone to get even faster results, more improvement, and less risk of combinations like nodules, swelling, neuropathy or paradoxical hyperplasia. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Theragun more effective for massage after CoolSculpting? Massaging after the CoolSculpting treatment makes the results 60% more effective. I do not believe the Theragun would make any difference then just doing it manual for a few minutes everyday for two weeks after your treatment

Answer: Stick with the manual massaging The manual massage is designed to break down the crystalized fat cells after the freezing process in CoolSculpting. Using a gun may be effective, but the act of putting pressure and carefully massaging the treatment area with the fingers will result in a more precise massage for optimal results.
