Surgeon requests clearance from endocrinologist but primary doctor says I don't need clearance from them for BBL?

Okay, my pre-op blood work is perfectly healthy except my TSH 3RD GEN is 9.0, but my FREE T4 range is normal. My doctor says I don't have hypothyroid and am cleared for surgery, but my Plastic Surgeon says he won't perform surgery until I get a medical clearance from an endocrinologist. What can I do? I've called 10 endocrinologists and they said even if I did go see them, my primary doctor would still be the one to give me clearance. My surgery is in 10 days, PLEASE HELP! Thank you

Hello and Great Question.  I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure.  My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel.  I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist.
It sounds like your surgeon wants you evaluated by an endocrinologist.  I don't think your endocrinologist needs to clear you for surgery, but simply needs to evaluate your labs.  However, this is up to your surgeon.I hope that helps!  Best of Luck!
