How successful is Accutane to thin out nose skin for a rhinoplasty?

I would like a second opinion: My doctor recommended me to use use Accutane to thin out my nose before my rhinoplasty and was wondering if it will actually work I am close to finishing my second month and see little to no difference. Not sure how much it’s suppose to thin out?
