Why is my sore throat getting worse 5 days after rhinoplasty?

Often the cause of a sore throat after rhinoplasty/septoplasty  is due to irritation from the breathing tube inserted by anesthesia doctors during your surgery.  Another cause may be that the swelling from your surgery inside of your nose is making you breathe more through your mouth than you usually do, especially at night, leading to the sore throat.  Viral/bacterial infections are also possible.  Check with your doctor and hope you feel better.
