It will be a question of the extent of the elevation and whether this is high enough to warrant additional evaluation, cardiac or otherwise.
Ideal candidates are at a stable weight, in good health , and have excess fat in some parts of the body and too little in other regions. Gaining weight before the procedure is to no advantage and when you lose weight again the fat cells will shrink just like the donor site fat cells. Typically, the transferred fat results in a significant increase in volume of the body site being treated.
It's important to be in the best medical condition before undergoing surgery especially for elective surgery. I would recommend seeing your doctor to see if anything could be done to lower your triglycerides prior to surgery. If your doctor feels it is safe, it may be possible to do your surgery. It will depend if you have any medical problems from the high triglycerides and the type of surgery. I recommend seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon for consultation.
Dear jacks1031,it would be the best to get an elective surgery when you are in the best shape. There are some questions which should be answered (how high are your triglycerids, do you have any therapy, etc.). I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question. Whenever anyone is considering cosmetic surgery, ideally we would like them to be in the best possible physical condition before proceeding. However in some cases, patients will have certain medical conditions that with proper management, will still allow them to have the surgery they desire. High triglyceride numbers is one of those conditions. High triglycerides can be associated with increased risk of cardiac disease. Proper management means having a detailed examination by your primary care doctor and having any medications started before having your surgery. Once you are cleared by your primary care doctor to proceed,a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is your next step. Thanks for asking and best of luck.

Dear Bodyright21,based on your photos, it doesn't look like there is a need for an ER visit. I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon and until then keep your wound clean and covered. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. So...
Dear doris dike, the cost of surgery depends on a lot of factors (type of surgery, number of treated areas, anesthesia fee, surgeon, facility fee, city, etc.). In LA area, BBL typically ranges from 8K-12K depending on how much liposuction needs to be done to get enough fat. It would be the best ...
