Does having lots of sebaceous hyperplasia on the nose lead to rhinophyma?

I am 33 years old and have been on isotretinion for 3 years for sebaceous hyperplasia 30-40mg a week. It works reasonably well for the rest of my face however my nose appears to be getting a little worse with a bumpy euneven surface. Is it likely I could suffer from rhinophyma when older?

You need to be on a comprehensive cream program and accutane. We have so many patients see us for Rhinophyma which is a consequence of rosacea/significant oiliness of the nose. Over time, the nose will increase in size and get bulbous. This is a process that only gets worse and worse with time. The earlier you address the rhinophyma, the easier it will be to correct. I correct Rhinophyma with C02 laser resurfacing. We get a lot of success with this and out patients are so happy their nose isn't bulky anymore.
