The company has some data that shows lasting results up to 5 years. Patients often hear this and get really excited thinking they will not need filler for 5 years! This just isn't the case. Even if all the Artefill (now called Bellafill) remained, the patient will continue to age and lose additional volume. This is a good question. The formal studies are now out 5 years and soon there will be a longerterm study released. The results showthat there is no loss of volume over this time. The beauty of Artefill is that is really promotes development of yourown tissue. Therefore, while you may ageand continue to lose volume your Artefill should be still working years fromnow since it is your own tissue that is filling the area that was initiallyinjected and not a substance that can absorb.I hope that helps.Best regards.
